Re: Plaskett and Woffinden's book on the "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" Fraud

Saw a Mastermind guy once handling subjects on ´Chess´.
One sonofagun question he got was

"In which position did Bobby Fischer finish at the Buenos Aires event of 1960?"
Re chess and Millionaire?. ¨Nigel Short¨was once an answer to an early Question on the UK version.

Re: Plaskett and Woffinden's book on the "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" Fraud

Putting the weirdest twist yet on things, would any of you guys believe that Question Fourteen, correctly answered by a retired GP to win 500K on Millionaire? a few days ago, was the very same Question Thirteen that Ingram answered correctly en route to his million!? Only that was Ingram Wilcox . In...

Re: Plaskett and Woffinden's book on the "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" Fraud

Ah well. Enough of this, because we all learn of "the law´s delay". But TWENTY years truly is taking the piss. The mini series airs in the States on May 31st so that´ll supply an extra fillip. I predict that there will be a successful appeal...and ex-major Charles Ingram will experience the ...

Re: Plaskett and Woffinden's book on the "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" Fraud

Untrue.
The audience had only two simple options: Guilty or Not Guilty.
Two votes. One after Act One and one at the end of the theatre showing of QUIZ.

First of all, please accept EVERYTHING that David Sedgwick character writes with some suspicion! https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/1999359135/ref=dbs_a_def_rwt_hsch_vapi_taft_p1_i1 I imagine Reuben had some doubts but, when forced to choose between Guilty or Not Guilty went for the first one but w...

Re: Plaskett and Woffinden's book on the "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" Fraud

Prosecution nabbed him simply to prevent the formality of his being called as a witness for the defence. Had he been called for the defence the anodyne nature of his testimony would have been more likely to register with the jury if he carried the label Witness for the Defence. That´s all. And their...

Re: Plaskett and Woffinden's book on the "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" Fraud

I was NEVER given a second chance at any FF question, Sñr Thurlow. Graham´s point was to show some legitimate and quite valid "alternative facts" for the defence. And Mike Gunn is spot on that they should NOT have been convicted on that evidence. Ingrams were interviewed separately. Paul Smith was a...

Re: Plaskett and Woffinden's book on the "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" Fraud

There was nothing for the defence to contest. In 53 minutes Tarrant said he´d noticed nothing suspicious of any kind. As a result the defence lawyers had to resort to questions like, "Has anybody ever got the first question wrong?" Which generated laughter. Even the judge himself was wont to join in...

Re: Plaskett and Woffinden's book on the "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?" Fraud

Much about the gangs who targeted Millionaire? you have already read in our book, Neville. And you´ll be seeing more of Paddy Spooner in the third episode of QUIZ . Certainly true that Tarrant´s 53 minute testimony was that he suspected nothing on either night Ingram occupied the hot seat and found ...
