Re: 4NCL International Congress

Wonder if his school gets informed? Can’t imagine they’d be too impressed... I wonder that this matter is being treated so lightly. This was surely a concerted attempt to gain £600 by fraudulent means maintained consistently across 8 rounds of a tournament. A six year old would know that this was w...

Re: 4NCL International Congress

Michael, You would be hard pushed getting the police to act on this. I've personally been involved with fraud investigations at my previous employ where sums in orders of magnitude more than here were stolen and we could not get the police to act. My personal view is the same as yours, it is fraud,...

Re: 4NCL International Congress

British pairings he'd presumably be playing Hebden instead. Of course, under British pairings he wouldn't have got the round 1 bye in the first place. Indeed, Jonah Willow would have got the bye instead. That would not really have helped his norm chances. An excellent and entertaining win by Jonah ...

Re: Premier League Fantasy Football 2018-19

First Quarter Report Weeks 1-10 Usual methodology - 5 pts for a 1st place down to 1 pt for a 5th place - number of weeks in brackets. They say that cream rises to the top - well for Premier Chess Fantasy Football that's certainly the case. 2014 winner Richard Beach got off to a flier and was the on...

Re: Premier League Fantasy Football 2018-19

Week 10 Thoughts are with everyone at Leicester City. A terrible tragedy. Heartbreaking. Gary Lineker. It's been a week overshadowed by the events at the King Power stadium. So in a effort to extend some levity here's a Halloween joke. Q-Why couldn't David De Gea dress up as a ghost? A Because he c...

Re: Premier League Fantasy Football 2018-19

Week 9 " A five horse race? I don't have any doubt about that." Pep Guardiola Rather later report than usual, Week 9 was a pretty lacklustre week with every team banded together. The top five teams were unchanged - not surprising as their scores were 38, 36, 41, 48 and 47 respectively. The remainin...

Re: Premier League Fantasy Football 2018-19

Week 8 For me, my players are the best players in the world Nuno Espirito Santo Another international break and eight weeks in, no Premier League manager sackings as yet. By this time last season they were going down like flies (or Chesterfield FC). At last, after seven weeks, Richard Beach is knoc...

Re: DIV 3 North..more teams wanted..

Another Stockport League or Cheshire based team or another Merseyside team would not go amiss either. A speedy return from Notts would also be welcome I think. Maybe a season battling with the Div 4 lot might sober them up a bit. Meanwhile , can I also call on the North East to come forth with anot...

Crowd Funding Appeal

Many of you will have heard in the national press of the family tragedy that befell one of our local players earlier this year. Although everyone else has lawyers paid for by insurance or public funds, there is no such provision for the family who are now trying to raise funds so they can be represe...

Re: County Chess 2018-19

The MCCU programme has started. There is one extra team overall (u160 -1; U140 +3; U120-1). I make the usual comments about this. My estimations is that there could easily be at least 10 further teams competing minimum and if each county could maximise that figure could be doubled. The U160, down no...

Re: Premier League Fantasy Football 2018-19

Week 7 We don't have any problems, apart from the problems we have. Rafa Benitez Friday night match again so team changes in by 19.00!! Low scorers from Week 4, Fred Flint-Stones are now top dogs with a score of 82 points and a move up of 1,000,000 plus places. The Shih Tzus of the week are Steven ...
