Fox Problems? also book collaborators sought

I guess quite a few people will have fox problems in their gardens and the cost of hiring a professional exterminator is ridiculous. If you live in the London area and you are a chess player...feel free to pm me for advice and suggestions and help. I am probably the no.1 expert at trapping foxes in ...

Re: Forum usage

what have I missed? I read this tread and found nothing contencious in anything posted here some was quite funny though.....some references suggesting a grown man was reduced to tears? very questionable IMO...I'd need to see evidence (I am a cynic by nature...as my dad used to tell me....believe not...

Re: Chess.Com getting sued.

Hi Adam, You have some very good ideas regarding online chess but in terms of replacing otb chess it is years away IMO....I don't use a web camera...the main issue is obviously the cheating.....great idea that people should use their real names Time limits are the main current issue I only ever play...

Re: English Senior opps 2020

I'd advise taking at least 12 months out from otb chess until the mud settles if you are a senior, particularly as seniors are the most at risk group by age. A vaccine might never arrive so it will be down to individuals to decide on the risks involved...society will most certainly be returning to s...

Re: Worrying times

IMVHO anyone that has had corona virus will just as easily get it a second time and a third time etc etc There is little if any actual hard evidence for this. its not rocket science...if you get a cold you get it again and again....a lot of herd mentality here it seems....following the nutty profes...

Re: Worrying times

herd immunity is a complete myth with respect to Corona virus IMHO I am also amazed that the nutty professor aka the chief medical officer in the UK still has his job. IMVHO anyone that has had corona virus will just as easily get it a second time and a third time etc etc look back on my earlier pos...

Re: Worrying times

apparently so....I have been following the story since early Jan and on another chat room forum (investing forum) ....many of the Chinese expats have basically said Wuhan is a really backwater city...and all sorts of crazy stuff goes on there...the rest of China is much more modernised and that kind...

Re: Continuing Leagues & Established Events Online

I joined Lichess a few days ago and played in an online event yesterday but it crashed so many times it was a torturous experience.

Their servers were struggling to cope with 27,500 games online at the same time.

good site but too many using it now that we are all at home.

Hi John

Fruit bat pie

Little Jack Wong sat in a corner
eating his fruit bat pie
He stuck in his thumb
and pulled out an eye
and said....

Re: Worrying times

don't worry be happy...here is a little poem that I wrote in January when the corona virus was largely confined to Wuhan... Dogs, cats, monkeys and bats. Dogs, cats, monkeys and bats, not meant for the dinner table as now all can see. First came Ebola, then SARS, now Covid 19. One wonders what's nex...

Re: Covid-19 - Suspend Chess Immediately

The UK is approx 8 days behind Italy with Corona Virus. You can check the interactive map here: https://vdata.nikkei.com/en/newsgraphics/coronavirus-world-map/ So that is a pretty accurate indication of where things are going. Some really silly comments have been posted in the other thread on corona...

Re: Chess and Pension Fraud - allegation

Simon Sounds like you were just a pawn in this particular game. Mr. Quillan being the Grandmaster :) The case makes very sad reading for the individual that lost his pension (Mr. Y)...I have followed this thread and heeded the lessons on offer as I am soon going to be eligible to transfer / draw dow...
