Re: Council Papers are out

Just to let you know that Me and keith have sent a silver members info out I would be interested to read that. Dear ECF Silver member I am writing to tell you about the ECF AGM, which takes place on Saturday 12th October, and to seek your input on how, as your representative, I should vote. I just ...

Re: Council Papers are out

...Finance Chairman: Now Malcolm, you spent £20,000 on international teams?... Re: Manchester Summer Congress 16 - 18 August 2019

It is not FIDE rated because I am convinced that FIDE rating tournaments reduces entries. I also help to run a FIDE rated congress. Bolton Easter. ...

are you looking for any grade as I have had two under 120 players looking to play at the 4ncl
I'd say that's a bit low for Div 3N, but pass their details to Mark Whitehead and he'll no doubt be able to add them to the Manticores squad
Done that and thanks

This is covered by FIDE Rating Regulations (not the FIDE game Laws). So stereotypical English arbiters need not jump up and down waivi...

Re: Good/Bad things from the British 2019

something along the line of if a player does get DQ then the match point is award, but the graded game should not!! The trouble with that is that the counter-strategy will emerge: players will deliberately walk off with their phone in losing positions. maybe someone in the ECF Forum could put somet...

Adams and Gordon both appeared in the commentary room at least twice. I agree that the commentary was very good.
