Re: Cheating in chess
The 4NCL Fair Play Report gives the following useful information: The statistics for Season 2 are below: - 11 players were banned due to fair play violations; - 11 other players were banned by Lichess, for whom the weight of statistical evidence did not support the 4NCL overturning results (e.g. the...

But it creates several exceptions to that...

Re: History of Chess Clubs
It would be great if the ECF kept a page of links to chess histories - for club or county. Perhaps we can start here with a list of histories. This may inspire others to write a history of their area. I am aware that Roy Maddock compiled a 117-page history of Harrow Chess Club for its centenary in 2...

Re: Carlsen Problem
This is an example of a great chess problem to which the answer is 39. The other question to which the answer is 39 is "What is the value of a chess army?" Are there any others?

Re: 4NCL Online
There was a time when, if a team withdrew from a competition, its captain would politely apologise to the opposing team's captain for the inconvenience - arranging teams takes time and effort. The modern approach is to go straight to social media proclaiming a higher cause. I miss the old ways.
