Re: Certificate of Merit
John wrote We never got any kind of acknowledgement from the ECF Office and so have suspended trials of CoM until further notice. I received a message from Chris Majer informing me that the Office were too busy to deal with it as the AGM took precedence. J. John It would appear from the following em...

Re: Certificate of Merit
The office also have a function to add new schools to the CoM database as and when they sign-up to the support package. We tried to obtain the full list of ~9,000 schools but had to settle for 35 instead. The Office now need to add them one at a time so they will help to slow things down also. I tr...

Re: Wilson's School Launch
I feel so stupid sending my money off now. I was concerned that the ECF was based in Lagos, that E-mail was headed the English Cheese Company and that I hadn't actually applied for any sets. However, it was only after I put my cheque in the post that I realised that the total value of Holloid Plast...

Re: Free Chess Sets for schools
Matthew wrote However, I think we need to have some benchmarks to evaluate the success of the Wilson's launch and I propose these 30 schools receiving 300 free sets - Amazing, brilliant achievement 20 schools receiving 200 free sets - Very good 15 schools receiving 150 free sets - slightly disappoin...

Re: Peter Wilson's election address
Matthew wrote It seems that the Guernsey Chess Federation has severed its links with Peter Wilson and I believe it would be helpful to understand why Peter and the Guernsey Chess Federation have felt it necessary to part company before Welcoming Peter into the ECF organisation with open arms. Re: Certificate of Merit
Matthew wrote Perhaps you could supply us some details of Friday's 'first launch' to enable us all to be a bit more 'sensible'? Caroline wanted to do this “event†alone so there was no ECF presence. Caroline visited the school and delivered ten sets. The teacher was very pleased and is excited a...

Re: Certificate of Merit
Matthew wrote If Friday's launch saw only one School receive sets then it isn't really a trial launch. There is no way that giving sets to one school can in any way be seen as a template to handing out set to 10,000. Chris Majer is not answering questions about Friday's launch, so I can only assumed...
