Re: Accusation against Alejandro Ramirez

Probably not as unhelpful as the tone of your posts in this thread though. I try not to worry about the Tone Police; it's remarkable how they never seem to come after the tone of something I've said unless they also disagree with the content. And it's remarkable how the disgusting attitude of victi...

Re: Accusation against Alejandro Ramirez

WOW, just wow. I have been alerted to the absolute disgustingness in this conversation by multiple people and I felt compelled to reply again. I am shocked, but also not surprised at the same time, considering this is everything we’ve been complaining about.
The attitude here is utterly shocking.

Re: Accusation against Alejandro Ramirez

My concern about this point is that someone who has been assaulted and wants to confide in someone and/or report it but is not ready to name the person may remain quiet if they feel they will be pressured into naming the person. I have no way of knowing how difficult it must be to speak up about su...

Hey all As most of you know, I will be essentially moving to the States (or kinda already have), so I will be selling as much of my stuff as I possibly can. I would essentially like to own nothing! I have approximately 80 chess sets, clocks and boards, plus the following: - demo boards - score sheet...

Re: My Story

Carl, I just want to add: I can't help but feel victimised once again, that you moderated my post, but not those that have slagged me off. It shows a double standard on your moderation part and implies that what they have to say is more important than what I have to say. The way that you treat peopl...

Re: My Story

Thank you all for your comments. I would also like to publicy thank Jovanka Houska and Lawrence Cooper who have been by my side and tried to help me get through all this nastiness over the last couple of years. Those two have seen first hand some of the things I have been subjected to, so thank you ...

My Story

Dear All I have been playing chess for nearly 20 years now, entering into several tournaments a year, supporting the British tournament circuit. In addition to this, I have encouraged many of my students to play in tournaments, sign up to the ECF etc. - all to support British chess. It made me so pr...

103rd Richmond Rapidplay

Most of you know that unfortunately my website has been hacked and so have my bank accounts, so it has been rather difficult with the organising of this tournament. However, this is to confirm that it is most definitely going ahead. It seems most of the emails have not been distributed either. I am ...

Re: British Championships 2012 - Junior age groups

Thanks Krishna

Thanks exactly it. I just wanted clarification as I did not believe it was clear. I am not asking for anything to be changed nor would I expect to. I just wanted to make sure so I could inform my students with the correct information.

Re: British Championships 2012 - Junior age groups

The change was instigated in 2009 at my suggestion in conjunction with the then Junior Director, Peter Purland, and of course agreed by the Board. The reason was of course to make it more logical as a qualifying event for FIDE championships. The message has had 3 years to reach Sabrena. I too think...
