I think the original book by Pierre Boulle is not bad. Interestingly, he also wrote The Bridge Over The River Kwai. However, for me the films are rubbish. It is not clear to me that Roger has claimed lichess ban thirty thousand accounts a day, merely that the caseload would be of the order of thirty thousand games a day.

It's the only one of the new ones I've seen. It really was excruciatingly bad - badly acted, badly scripted, absolutely devoid of anything engaging or memorable or original in any way.
