I see Fernandez lost rather quickly, although they played a lot of moves, to Rocco who seems to be having a good tournament.
Federico is one of Hendon/Barnet Knights' talented juniors. He's currently the London U18 & U21 champion.

Re: ECF National Schools Girls tournament 2019

Yes, this was a fantastic event - superbly run, and I would highly recommend it to any schools thinking about entering.

Many thanks to the organisers and to St.Catherine's for a great day.

Yeah I thought of that, but no tab character.
Inside Notepad, I copy and paste the first tab character from the pasted text (from Chess Results) into the find and replace window, and that works ok for me.

I was about to post the women's pairings - is there any way of doing it without it taking about a thousand years cutting out all the gaps?
Speed it up by first pasting the text into a text editor (e.g. Notepad) and replacing the 'tab' character with a single space.

Re: Neil Carr

Very sad news. Neil won the first British U11 ahead of Nigel Short. I'm not sure this is correct. According to this page... http://www.englishchess.org.uk/british-champions-1904-present/ ..Neil won the U11 in Ayr in 1978 (when Nigel Short was already participating in the British Championship itself)...

Re: ECF website – service update

One thing I'm curious about is that a couple of years ago, the grading website used to be able to take whatever was thrown at it. It didn't fall over (so far as I recall) when a new grading list was published. Now the grading website or the forum website appear to fall over when encountering a slig...

Just for the record, Oskar Hackner is not 180/190. He's 202 and has been 207.
