Do this for about 4 years and during that time bring downs a couple of big guns. Then write the book 'Chris Kreuz ...

Re: Blood Glucose monitoring device and OTB chess

My device doesn't make a noise, it sends an alert to my phone, so I could check my glucose levels beforehand and then turn my phone off. That would be one concern removed, that you had a live phone whilst playing. If the device on your skin is metallic, you may need to warn anyone conducting a meta...

Re: Blood Glucose monitoring device and OTB chess

Thanks for the replies, so I can check with the organisers/arbiters beforehand. I don't want to travel somewhere for chess and find I can't play!

Blood Glucose monitoring device and OTB chess

I have Type 1 diabetes and am using a blood glucose monitoring device to check my blood sugar levels. It is an electronic device that is glued and sealed to my skin. It can communicate over Bluetooth wirelessly to cause an alarm to trigger on my phone app to alert me if my sugar levels get to danger...

I have spent the night in a few cells in European countries. (three, Germany, Holland and Denmark)
mostly for D & D. (the German one also included a wee spot of vandalism in 1970 after the 3-2 game. I was 20.)
Wow, they really crack down on Dungeons and Dragons players

Re: World Senior Teams 19 to 30 June 2022

In Today's 65+ England 2 vs Switzerland match, Stewart Reuben (age 83) will face Edwin Bhend (age 91) Is the latter the oldest person in it? Possibly not, but due to fixed board orders, not all high age pairings are possible and I'm not planning to wade through them all to check 😉 I knew of this fr...

I'm not sure if this is the highest total age possible in the tournament
