What private sponsors do with their money is none of my business. If you want to change things, get a sponsor on board who will fund the type of event you want to see!

Repairing DGT2010 Clocks

I have a couple of "broken" clocks. Has anyone tried to repair a DGT by opening it up and re-soldering? The most frequent issues with DGTs appear to be a dodgy rocker (too much blitz) loose connections (blitz / dropping the clock) or clocks that will turn on BUT won't go past option 1 (buttons don't...

I do try and take account of elective byes at tournaments, mainly standard congress events, but sometimes it escapes my attention.

Not any more. A change to the FIDE Rating regulations means that *games* that have at least one player rated 2200 or above will not be rated with 60m+30s as the time control.
