Re: National Stages 2019

Michael most of the best matches go either way and why not publish as chess is exciting at all levels. No ill feelings on my part to you, only some gentle ribbing on this site. So 2 more to come in for my accumulator. Not aware of a shirt prize - not encouraging the other half of the population. Now...

Re: National Stages 2019

I was not even commenting on a game of chess dispute a long time ago so why are you raising it again Andrew?

you ought to take up your complaints with the Surrey board with them directly. I have seen nobody from the Surrey board posting such matters against you.

Re: National Stages 2019

another selective comment taken out of context. I really think you miss my points on the county championship. i'm hoping lancs get no teams to the final stages this year. what is competing about = i'm fully supportive of the minor counties - it has a nice balance - and have a winners 'oscar' from la...

Re: National Stages 2019

This flagship event is open to all as is, say 4NCL. Some regions do not want to play 10 rounds have a winner in the 11th as 4NCL. That is not to put the onus on any other congresses or counties as there is player choice. That many players choose what is best for them is up to them. or do something u...

Re: National Stages 2019

I have been working today getting in to see this fantastic news. Surrey. I'm watching a rugby final on the plus 1. Some clashes at semi-final too - a football tournament that is going on where England are playing - will be nice to win since 66. I think Lancs have issues. Do they claim both Mancheste...

Re: Div 4 South 2018/19

well done all especially Neil and paul. I have appreciated our chats each weekend. West Is Best 4 not playing last weekend hence some players in the West Is Best 3 team with lower rating. thanks to the wib player that gave me a lift each match and in the last weekend julian way for his surbiton debu...

Re: Div 4 South 2018/19

it is great to be back to 3 teams for the final w/e. we have possibility of promotion, demotion, and in my case to play against opponents of the same strength or lower or higher. anyway those that have played opponents 300 or 400 plus points higher the previous two weekends are ok. there are lots of...

yes - that means you pay ECF more than me directly - but I have mentioned that before.

Re: The Irish International Open 2019

Is it an offence this w/e at daventry to scan a live board at telford however inadvertently? like when picking up a coffee.

isn't the solution to hire venues without wifi?

is there going to be an announcement about avoiding eye contact?

Re: Think not what the ECF can do for you, but what you can do for the ECF

I have a problem on questioning patrons, donors, sponsors on validity when some want to be prosecutor, judge, jury and executioner. I also believe that it is correct that ECF or its International Director to not disclose directly or indirectly what they were paying to the Open team. see you on Satur...

Re: The Irish International Open 2019

Most positions don't require engine assistance to enable players of c2000 strength to know who stands better. change that to c1700 strength. I am well aware I have been better in my last four games av c2060 opponent but not converted any. on children leaving room most of time it is going to loo or p...

Re: Think not what the ECF can do for you, but what you can do for the ECF

angus -Roger Emerson’s report to Gold members which is grossly misleading. I disagree with you on this matter. it was joint up, well thought out asked for comments before on voting intentions. so what more could I want. it seems there is too much I in team ECF - we volunteer in all sorts of ways for...

Re: Think not what the ECF can do for you, but what you can do for the ECF

I like RobWillmoth's reply - then again i'm likely to lose again to one of his juniors on sat afternoon and have a laugh about it with one of his coaches others appear to be moaning whether attending or not. i'm not into inflation costs or just a bit over inflation - when i'm dealing with below infl...
