Re: Shreyas Royal breaks U10 record, poses ECF a question

Some of us are hoping the Home Secretary intervenes in a number of cases not related to chess. My brother has a lot more work having passed a number of new Immigration Law exams. I had no idea there are various quotas attached to nationality, nor some strange financial values attached to various vis...

Re: British Championship 2018

It's an early KO today. If there is a play-off when is it expected? There is still a slim chance of McShane winning outright (my prediction). But the championship is likely to be tight over 9 rounds. Best wishes for Eggy and Koby with their norm chances. As for the legends I hope you qualify next ye...

A really great event. In a few years time luxury chess tournaments on the River!

Re: Chess Results Server

Thanks all = ads OK atm.

I'll let my better half know. She may even let me go out to play chess this season.

Re: British Championship 2018

Just in from work & hopefully get away from the office at 12 tomorrow & a dash for a cup of tea with my parents before getting home for the Main Event. The clash between two Chess Legends as Senior is not the right term for Kevin or Roger. Koby with another GM is going well. He gets better every sea...

Chess Results Server

Is there any way to stop the adverts popping up especially with Women.

It is hardly good to say I'm following the results in today's British Chess Championship.

Not really helpful in promoting chess to women either.

Re: British Championship 2018

On the youngsters I'm impressed by Koby's 3/5 & perhaps he will end up with a performance rating over 2400. His only loss so far is to the Championship Leader.

Re: British Championship 2018

Kevin hoping you will get off the mark soon & there must be a real chance that you play Roger.

At least our managers are looking at whether we can wear shorts at work. The air con is not quite right atm & they are getting picky about how many shirt buttons we can open.

Re: 2018 World Championship in London?

Hope that the IT infrastructure can get set up for it to work. Plenty of hotels in the area. It also begs the question whether the venue is available some time in the future over the summer for the British Chess Championship. The central line is very poor anyway & not expecting to be OK until about ...

Re: 2018 World Championship in London?

I'm trying to think whether I want 4 weeks off work for Chess. The world championship and London Chess classic. As well as work in 4 weeks of midweek chess fixtures in a timetable where leagues have not considered extending the chess season from custom and practice. There I was thinking about my bir...

Re: 2018 World Championship in London?

One of the venues in The Strand or Theatre Land? With the logo perhaps they are targeting Stringfellows or other similar type clubs in the Soho area. Surely not within Winter Wonderland. Not sure why anyone is thinking casinos which obviously exclude children. I doubt we will get national live TV co...
