Re: Division Four South 2016-17

On another subject, is it just me that can't view them, or is there a problem with the pgn files for Div 3 & Div 4 south from week 2?...

*Also copper is surely worth more than bronze! Er, yes: I'm sure you're right.[/quote] Doubtful, Copper is a base metal, Bronze is a composite metal made up of predominately copper with a percentage of tin. Problems with viewing games on Chessbase

Has anyone else noticed this? In the last 24 hours on the Chessbase website when trying to play through games a message appears alongside the board (where the moves normally appear) 'You must have JavaScript enabled to replay this game' I have checked to make sure that I hadn't inadvertently changed...

Re: 2014-15 qualifiers

The EACU concluded it's Open Championships yesterday and the qualifying counties are E1 Suffolk, E2 Cambridgeshire and E3 Norfolk. Most of the discussions between the team captains evolved around the clash of the preliminary round falling on the same weekend as the Great Yarmouth Congress (why can't...

Which web browser and which version are you using? Chrome - Version 40.0.2214.94 m I'm using it on a laptop If you are using a laptop, try right-clicking on a chessboard and select "Reload Frame"... this might help. Re: Further Software Update

Hi Carl, Have just connected to Forum for first time since the upgrades this week and I can't see the board diagrams properly. No one else seems to have commented so wondering what I'm missing? Do I need to upgrade anything myself? Any example of the problem you are having? I tried a new one and ev...

Re: First Round Pairings

This was supposed to appear in 'First Round Pairings' but somehow ended up here (probably because I was trying to use a quote from this section and despite changing the heading post it defaulted to this path  ) In reading the intellectual debate in the 4NCL North 2014-15 section on the merit...

Does anyone know if this meeting took place?

I can't find any further reference to it anywhere.

Did anything of note come out of it?

Re: 2014 Final stages

the Suffolk side certainly looked stronger than when it faced Somerset. Appearances can be deceptive, the strength of the teams were practically the same with an average grade of 179.38 against Somerset and 179.31 against Nottinghamshire. We actually peaked at 179.75 against Essex in the semi's! Al...
