Re: World Youth U14/16/18 2016

I think he will still be eligible for the world U18 next year, and after such an impressive surge he should think ahead to aiming for a place in the Welsh national team Thank you for your rather optimistic suggestion Leonard ! Unfortunately you appear to be under the impression that International s...

Re: Glorney Gilbert International 2016

The English teams that are selected, are trying to win the event... I certainly had expected that England would make more effort to field their strongest team... It helps the other Nations that the Welsh Junior Director has a habit of sabotaging their Glorney team by fielding lower rated / unrated ...

Re: Liverpool Quadrangular Junior International Tournament

Ed Wang may have better spent his time explaining his actions rather than presenting a new “defence”. (At least WCU statements are now internally consistent. When I queried inconsistent statements with the WCU President in November 2013 he did not reply – 26 months later he & others can now a...

Re: Liverpool Quadrangular Junior International Tournament

I wasn’t going to post on this thread again, until it was brought to my attention that Ed Wang – husband of WCU Deputy Executive Director Audrey Yong – has been sending private messages to some of the Forum members involved in this thread, rather than posting publically here where any “defence” he m...

Re: Welsh Chess Union - Vexatious Complaints Policy

The question also arises as to whether the Vexatious Complaints Policy is contrary to FIDE Code of Ethics which espouses the ideals of fairness and good sportsmanship? The WCU Constitution espouses the ideals of fairness and good sportsmanship. It states: “Every inquiry held by, or on behalf of, th...

Re: Welsh Chess Union - Vexatious Complaints Policy

without reference a Dispute Resolution Procedure of 'normal' complaints There is a published protocol for ‘normal’ complaints in the WCU constitution. However this has been shown to have at least two flaws when implemented in practice: 1. Some new evidence can be deemed to be inadmissible at the ap...

Re: Liverpool Quadrangular Junior International Tournament

Dear Mr Flatt, Thank you for trying to be helpful. 1) I know the information on the WCU website to be factually wrong but I do not need to know which children, if any, were ill and which, if any, were injured. The Management Board have already been made aware of the inaccuracy but I have received no...

Re: Liverpool Quadrangular Junior International Tournament

Not standing for re-election isn't resigning True - just a coincidence that the two Directors who supported my complaint in writing didn’t stand for re-election!? This then prevented one of the Directors from drawing up selection proposals to “avoid continual changes to accommodate or eliminate spe...

Re: Liverpool Quadrangular Junior International Tournament

I wrote to every WCU official whose details I could find to ask whether they wished to rebut this outrageous claim. I received no reply WCU Directors do not answer questions when they know that they are in the wrong. Many of my questions have been unanswered for three years. any member can attend i...

Re: Liverpool Quadrangular Junior International Tournament

This took place 5th/6th December. http://www.welshchessunion.org.uk/juniors/1094-quad-2015 You cannot believe everything you read on the Welsh Chess Union website. They claim that their under 16 team was "ravaged by illness and injury, and led to the fielding of just three players for this team of ...

Re: An Alzheimer's Cure: Chess & Champagne At Simpsons

because of your actions If they had not “re-allocated” my money then I would not have had to ask for it back ! The money was taken in November 2012, I did not sue until July 2013. The findings of the Investigation Committee were that I was due a refund but the Management Board (4 of whom were emplo...

Different Director, different matter - different re-allocation of other people's money.
I obtained a full refund - plus court costs - when I recovered my money from the original complaint in 2012.

Re: An Alzheimer's Cure: Chess & Champagne At Simpsons

I assume it must be all sorted out now Unfortunately not... The WCU has not published accounts since 2011. There have been no AGM minutes since 2013. There have been no Management Board meeting minutes since 2014. See: http://www.welshchessunion.org.uk/wcu-board-matters/wcu-board-meetings Can you p...
