Re: ECF arbiting at Aberystwyth - FIDE perspective
Are Trading standards applicable in the case? ... can still be raised ... Can the Council be moved to get the ECF Board admit the mistake, correct it, and publish a ruling that unproven claims shall not be admitted ever? The RTRC decision prevails over the AC as it is about the organisation (the la...

Re: ECF arbiting at Aberyswyth - FIDE perspective
.. essentially reads "we will not get involved with events that are not FIDE-rated". While I don't want to second guess a commission report, that is not my reading at all. My reading is ECF "....could .. follow internal regulations....that cannot be commented.." upon. We just established that there...

Re: ECF arbiting at Aberyswyth - FIDE perspective
We just concluded [Brian Valentine » Fri Sep 04, 2015 8:27 pm] that only FIDE laws are applicable in England regardless of the grading/rating. Did we not? No other rules are known publicly. It follows there are no ECF "rules of the specific event" that gave the Congress Manager the right to overrule...

Re: Junior selection: FIDE World/European Championships
If I see Lawrence at Aberystwyth I will try speak to him about this Spoke to Lawrence about this proposal. He had read this thread but is prohibited by the ECF Board to post here!! As I understand, he is not against trying it out the policy. His concern was how the 'quality control' will be done fo...

People want it as much as the home federation wants to deny it .. Open it up and you will ...

Re: Junior selection: FIDE World/European Championships
a fact that you cannot ignore ECF is a limited company, owning the admission rights for FIDE by popular consent of English players. The key is such an organisation cannot be allowed to exercise powers that hampers a majority of junior players by starving them of opportunities when there is enough f...
