PGN Files
I know this has been answered before, but I can't remember when or where. Can someone please point me to an easy way to record games in PGN files. Thanks

Re: 46th Guernsey International Chess Festival
... and here's another link https://goo.gl/maps/tgk8B9M7nJhGAkXx6 . It's on the edge of the main shopping centre in St Peter Port. Several hotels in easy walking distance, as well as restaurants and bars. It's a former church, converted to an arts centre several years ago. Also, just across the road...

Re: BCF Yearbook favour
Hi John,
Camberley is not listed as a member club in the 1967 - 68 Yearbook. That is the earliest edition I have (thanks to Richard Haddrell).

Re: Something to be concerned about?
John Upham has raised a very important point. I also am in my 70's and have had my two Covid vaccinations. I also have heart and other health problems. So for me any Covid infection is very dangerous and could be fatal. I would refuse to play any player not vaccinated. Ken, I understand your concer...

Re: Which Clubs are Reopening ?
Horsham is planning to open on 21st June, provided the proposed further easing of restrictions happens by then. The club intends to meet weekly throughout the summer rather than taking its usual 2 months break during July and August. Full club details can be found at http://www.horshamchessclub.org....

Re: Council Papers are out
Correct. A bit of anticipation when the AGM announcement went out.Alex McFarlane wrote: ↑Mon Oct 07, 2019 5:25 pm
My understanding is that when the ECF papers announced that an appointment had been made the interviews hadn't even taken place.

Re: Membership Query
Did you have to take any additional action to get the new membership “acknowledged” (eg. formally renew on the system without payment?) I don't believe I've received any formal acknowledgement of renewal, nor have I done anything about it other than checking my bank account online which confirmed t...

Re: Membership Query
So I received the renewal notice on July 10 - I don’t think I took any action. I note on that email it mentioned the DD option and that you would be notified a month prior to any money being taken. On 31st Aug I received email advising membership had expired and to go to (web address) to renew. I d...

Re: Preferences for a weekender
I've no strong preference beyond saying that 3 standardplay games in a day isn't practical. If in doubt, just look at the Longson vs Toma game yesterday in the English Women's Championship. OK, that was truly exceptional but a couple of my games in the same event were at, or close to, 4 hours.
