Liverpool reopened on 25th May and has been busy every week with 14 new members already.
Juniors will not restart until all restrictions lifted as venue have strict stay in seat policy.

Hi PC Hoad played for Liverpool Chess Club for at least 34 years. Please be aware "Early bird" pricing for the Liverpool Congress ends on 10th September. Registrations after this date will be £5 greater than the current price.

This is an historic occasion often fought out by captains JH Blackburne for Manchester and Amos Burn for Liverpool. A new picture found in the Liverpool Chess Club Archives of a young M Kaizer who's name is on the Liverpool table as the winner of the tournament back in 1894 above

We have now added a highest junior (under 16) prize of £100 to each of the sections Major, Intermediate and Standard as well as a £50 top junior prize for the Sunday Only Rapidplay. I have just had confirmation that all 4 tournaments that span the 2 days will be both FIDE-rated and ECF-graded in the same fashion as the London classic
