Re: ECF Online County Championship
I cant remember when we (Northumberland) last played an OTB county match - probably early 90's? I do remember numerous long coach journeys and AGM discussions about the cost of participating in national stages should we qualify. I have a clear recollection of us receiving a ban one year - after we g...

Re: World Senior Individual Championships, Bucharest, November 2019

Re: British Championship Congress 2019
I havea room in the 3* Maquis Hotel in Torquay which I booked months ago at a decent rate for 9 nights (£450) 26th July-Aug 4th. I can cancel it for free - but if anyone is looking for a single room then you wont be able to match this rate booking now - so if you want the room let me know within the...

Re: 5 Questions about the ECF Academy Tender that need answers
It's reasonably normal practice these days in public sector procurements to get a feedback report showing what you scored for each section and how your score comapred to the winning bidder. It's not always pleasant reading to find that you scored 50% less than a competitor - but it helps improve fut...

Re: The ECF Academy tender
In procurement process terms - issuing a Request for Information (RFI) or a Prior Information Note (PIN) - to warm the market (such that there may be) up, and get some feedback on the planned tender might have been an approach more likely to lead to a successful outcome. Of course this might have ha...

Re: Division One 2018-19
Guildford still unbeaten in any individual game so far this season, by the way. Last year they lost only game, against their second team. Of course they only play North East next weekend ... that might damage their game points tally, but actually it wont because we'll end-up in different pools ...

I recall Lawrence Trent posted about a new low reached by a junior of "stereo nose-picking" - successfully dislodging/mining bogies with each index finger - immediately prior to offering a handshake ...
