If AD and GM team up, which is entirely possible now, then I hope MP and NS will do the same - I'm not sure of the current relationship between Malcolm and Nigel, but together they could well make a formidable challenge.

So, not only have the organisers broken rules regarding start times, they have greatly devalued the event by allowing 40+ German club teams to enter. How on earth will the logistics work out? 130+ teams to have collected and finished breakfast for a 9:30 start? Even with some German teams not stayin...

First time I've played in an Internatonal Tournament where a) contrary to FIDE regulations, they start at 09:30 and b) there are over 30 teams entered by the host nation.

I've had a reply from Dirk Jordan regarding the start times for Dresden. It may be possible to change the start times, if the majority of participants want it. I've put in a query to Dirk and FIDE, on behalf of the Welsh O50's to see if they are flexible on moving the start times. The rules say for top tournaments, that there should be no play before 13:00 and that the preferred time is 15:00. Not expecting much though, from what I've read here. I think th...
