Are there Rapidplay events that do not appear in the ECF Calendar ?

I'm looking for events on both Saturdays and Sundays.

Thanks !

There are already too many sports in the Olympics.
I feel it is time to bring back Poodle Clipping and Live Pigeon Shooting along with my favourite, Solo Synchronized Swimming :D

Re: Enforcing rules in League chess

I would imagine the use of scorebooks is still fairly common in club/league chess. (and was only outlawed fairly recently in congresses I think?) Of course, some of us who tend to record our games messily and at times incoherently are at an advantage here - as we got into the habit of using scoresh...

Re: Enforcing rules in League chess

I have a specific question about claims whilst a league game is in progress : A player is observed to be not recording the game at all in a standard play game. Despite reminders from different people he laughs and continues not to record. Also, he operates the timer with one hand and moves the piece...

Tables : http://www.4ncl.co.uk/data/tables_1819.htm

Has it been decided not to maintain :

http://www.4ncl.co.uk/data/tables_1819.htm ??

It appears under the 2018 - 2019 season menu tab.

Perhaps better removed if not to be updated ?

Re: What are the safeguards ?

What checks, balances and safeguards in place to mitigate the chances of someone (a Club Secretary for example) submitting results of so-called internal club games that either did not take place or did not take place under ECF match conditions ? Integrity of graders. A visible record of all results...

Re: ChessBase 14 Question

Use of the activation key follows a successful installation. It might also follow a successful update. As a matter of good policy a hard disk should be backed up in any case. Under Windows (unless prehistoric) you may create a restore point whenever you wish which only relates to system software plu...

UKCC ChessKids URL Error

Sarah et al., The URL given for the 1st online UK Chess Challenge is given as www.delanceyukschoolschesschallenge/chesskid.com which makes no sense at all. However, I think it ought to be https://www.delanceyukschoolschesschallenge.com/chesskid/ Unfortunately all of my A5 leaflets have been printed...
