I assume it was the Karpov v England Juniors simul, but the clip was too brief for me to try to identify any of the players. Ed...

Creating a Position Diagram without Kings ?

Is anyone aware of chess software that will allow one to create a position diagram without kings? I want to create some training positions that do not use kings such as White bishop on b1 black pawns on a7, b7 and c7 with white to move how does white stop all of black's pawns promoting? for example :D

Suitable chess films for school chess clubs?

I'd like to finish off my school chess clubs for the summer term by showing them an inspirational chess film.

The children are mostly year 3 to year 6 primary school aged children.

What would you suggest ?

The Queen of Katwe ?

Thanks for your help !

I assume it's not graded and there are no ECF membership requirements?

Just choose the right one after a legal process.
What sort of legal process would you favour ?

I ask this since you declared that you know "a whole lot more" or words to that effect.

Would you hazard a guess as to the proportion of persons that are listed on the ECF Master List (let us say 130,000 ?) for which the ECF has up-to-date email ...

Re: GDPR : What are the implications for LMS systems ?

He appeals to the ICO, citing Section 36, which decides in his favour on the grounds that his personal data is now being used for a collective purpose (informing third parties) rather than for the singular domestic purpose to which he'd assented (playing a chess game) Would this judgement apply als...

I feel that my head has moved closer to the EU chopping block!
You still have three months to move to somewhere without an extradition treaty. Ecuador has nice weather.
I asked Julian about Ecuadorian weather. All he can see is grey skies and police persons.

Re: GDPR : What are the implications for LMS systems ?

The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) replaces the Data Protection Directive 95/46/EC and was designed to harmonize data privacy laws across Europe, to protect and empower all EU citizens data privacy and to reshape the wa...
