Re: Problems Accessing the ECF Grading Database?

Arguably the grading and publishing of grades is the most important thing the ECF do for 99% of players in England and Wales, but before we start that discussion, as of this morning I still can't access the grading database from my iPad - so it really doesn't matter whether the grades are published ...

Re: Problems Accessing the ECF Grading Database?

The ECF knew the British would be early do couldn't the grading deadlines have been moved slightly?

Re: Problems Accessing the ECF Grading Database?

On my iPad I open the database, I get a quick view and then it vanishes leaving only "Events Received" at the bottom left

Re: Chess and Road Cycling

Not sure whether I should fire this subject up again . I was one of the original posters and have not read the thread for a long time , but as with most forums when a thread goes to more than 2 pages its usually a heated discussion amongst limited individuals . Back to the thread as somebody who pl...

Re: Chess and Road Cycling

When is a tax not a tax - when it's a duty and is designed to raise more money than a simple tax.

You are right the roads were not built for cars, but they weren't built for bicycles either, I think you will find the horse came before both. But they were covered in tarmac for the car.

Re: Chess and Road Cycling

If the remark was indeed "tongue in cheek", then it was an ill-judged remark which warrants an apology, in my opinion. First you fail to spot an obvious joke and then you expect an apology for it. Sorry but I have decided that not only will my wife not be apologising but I have told her not to show...

Re: Chess and Road Cycling

An interesting thought. When attending a chess tournament/congress, I notice cars, vans, and the odd motorcycle outside the venue. Cannot recall anyone taking a bicycle to a chess tournament. Of course, distance may be a problem. Cyclists must be treated with respect, it is healthy exercise, and do...

Re: ECF Game Fee Billing

On 1 September will the 12-13 membership details still be held on the membership list? Reason for asking is that at the moment I know which players in my league are not yet members but they have until 31 Aug to join. For that reason I won't be billing the clubs until September and I hope that the EC...
