Re: WCH clothing style

I think the players should live up to the occasion and wear suit and tie when sitting before a world audience at a World Championship. I have nothing against the modern lax clothing style, generally. But one should clothe for the occasion. Look at this picture how their jackets are hanging over the...

Re: Anand v Carlsen

Chess runs deep Paul, and I am crap at it, so I'm probably talking crap also, but someone once wrote, that chess and history are connected in ways, we do not understand, and I agree with this view.

In terms of dichotomies, that appear to me to be rather unfortunate, when we all appear to live on one pla...

Re: Anand v Carlsen

Only just read the Chessbase report: http://en.chessbase.com/post/chennai-g10-magnus-carlsen-is-the-new-world-champion There is a great picture at the end of the report. That has to be a candidate for the best-ever celebration, surely? :D That water looked very wet. At last a European champion, hoo...

Perhaps they should both play in the nude, and then we can see, if they still have the bodies, evolution designed for them, and also understand why the American media called Bobby Fischer mentally ill!
