Re: New Idea for Caro-Kann players

After:
1. e4 c6 2. d4 d5 3. exd5 cxd5 4. Bd3 Nc6 5. c3
what is the current thinking about Qc7, which prevents Bf4.

Re: Senior opportunities in 2018

Tim,
you might want to remove that Finkland typo!

Russia (led by GM Balashov) won the 65+ title, also winning every match. Germany finished second (7 wins) anhead of Sweden-1 who took third place with five matches won and two drawn. Finkland-1 were fourth and Scotland fifth.

Re: Division Four (South) 2017-18

Although weaker than previously, Oxford 3 managed to draw with CSC2 and defeat Iceni 1, making for a very satisfactory weekend, and retaining first place on game points.

Captain Tim is doing a tremendous job. There will be 4 Oxford teams this season.

Today is the last day to pay entry fees. Some teams have still not done so.

Re: General Election 2017

The Liberals have taken Oxford West and Abingdon. So the local predictions were correct!

In many constituencies, UKIP has effectively stood aside to allow the Tories a better shot at capturing the seat from Labour. Will the former UKIP voters go with the Tories or will they return to Labour? K...

Re: General Election 2017

I agree with Jonathan, however I think we will see a lot of maverick results as well. For example, the Liberals seem confident of recapturing Oxford West and Abingdon, which would require overturning a 9,000 majority.
