Re: Holloid Plastics Press Release : January 2009
John It's all bo**ocks. BLESS!!!! Reganites, they can't believe anything. But if the Reganites did sit down and think about this statement they would come up with one small but interesting flaw. This is not an ECF project, its a Holloid plastics project, the ECF never signed up to owning the projec...

Re: Gone missing
Hey Charles pleased to hear your good news - as you say chess isn't everything. Hope your avatar isn't a true reflection of your current look - otherwise a warning is probably in order. Thank you, and the avatar is now changed too. I think chess is a great world to be in, and the people in it do br...

Re: Gone missing
Hi Ernie and Carl You are right i'm not around posting at the moment, there is reasons behind this back nothing to do with the ECF. My Renaissance Academy is growing very very quickly and so that is absorbing so much of my time. But on a happy (if not fantastic note) i am now talking to my first wif...

Remember: On a Lighter Note. I found it funny, we have all been bloody minded, especially when patronised.Matthew Turner wrote:It sounds to me like you are being a bit disrespectful to your opponent. Re: ECF Manager of ICT
Just for the record I have had a private discussion with Duncan last week before any announcement was made and although I don't agree with all the points and ideas up for debate at least we should move in the right direction if he takes up the post? A movement in any sort of direction would be nice...

Re: Perfect Weather for an away match to Muswell Hill
There has been very little snow here  We have plenty and more to come tonight. I even did the unthinkable and cancelled the Training session up at the Latvian Club. This is seen as very odd as the Monday night sessions have been on since the start of 2007 and haven't missed once (not even for ...

I don't think it would be as good as it sounds. BUT Bouncycastle and Chess, that would be a different story.Nigel Wright wrote:I'd certainly give it a go!Kevin Thurlow wrote:"Teach learns all about rollerskating and chess."

Re: Academic Assistance
Whoever this Gerry Wade (Garry, Walsh, Welsh, Jerry...) chap is he obviously has little experience running chess clubs in primary schools. The above assertion is nonsense :!: Nick, I agree with you. And how often have you come across a primary school with equal numbers of boys and girls anyway? Ger...

Re: Step by Step Method
Has anyone out there had any experience with the Step by Step method of teaching chess which has been used very successfully in Holland and elsewhere in Europe for many years? It is endorsed by the Dutch Chess Federation and is used in the majority of schools and clubs in Holland and Belgium. The c...
