Re: Junk Email from Tournament Organisers

Ian Davis hasn't offered a technical correction. No one in their right minds would use the word "simply" to describe an action, where that action requires more steps than have been explicitly stated. That is, unless their intention is to deceive, cause a wind up / etc. Indeed, the "tiny" steps Ian ...

Re: Junk Email from Tournament Organisers

My point is simply that Adam's explanation of simply hitting reply-all seems fairly reasonable. I mean, granted, there are the tiny steps in the middle of some cutting and pasting, but nothing that isn't trivial. So it was just a basic technical explanation. OK, that's clarified my understanding. A...

Re: Junk Email from Tournament Organisers

Raoof has made you misunderstand Simon Brown. The email he sent, using bcc functionality, did not have Re: at the start of it, neither did it have the original recipients, which would have been present if he had only hit Reply All. If I am sent an email, containing a list of addresses in the To fie...

Re: Bad refereeing in sport

Rugby, the Schools Cup Final. Coach has been in the role for about 30 years, and is finally retiring. His side are behind on points when the whistle should have blown to signal the end of the game. A few more minutes tick past, the commentators are getting puzzled. Why hasn't he stopped? Injury time...

Re: GM Conquest for President?

It would be simpler just to elect Ray as president. He is the perfect choice. All in all, a no-brainer, as you might say.

Re: GM Conquest for President?

This is consistent with a previous statement. On a personal level, I do not agree with this policy. I believe the object of the grading system should be to reflect as accurately as possible a player's strength, not to be used as a political pawn or carrot. There are a number of events, most notably ...

Yes, so it does! I wonder if it also details how the founder of modern sports marketing will bring the WMSG to London? Not according to its website: http://int.pokerfed.org/about-the-ifp--2 "Since its creation in Lausanne, Switzerland, in April of 2009, the International Federation of Poker (IFP) ha...

The very last thing the governing body was set up to do, in poker's case, was to govern the game.

Re: CEO Report

To become part of the IMSA you need to have a governing body. To join it, as a full member, you have to satisfy WADA's conditions.
