Re: British Chess Championships 2011

Jack I am sure you are correct in your dates. I was merely stating my preference, having experienced first hand both Andrew's and Chris's commentry. I think it is important that in a modern progressive society we are all open to change  How is who commentates at the British decided? If we are...

Hi Carol,

No sorry, I don't. It would be wrong of me to speculate.

Re: British Chess Championships 2011

I think you mean "what actually has that got to do with commentary" The answer is very simple but I will explain:- If we are trying to promote chess then to a degree we must employ business tatics and find and identify what works  If on the other hand we are not trying to promote chess then le...

That is your opinion and you are entitled to it.

Personally speaking - luddite I might be but I much prefer the style of Chris Ward

I am feeling quite low, the only spam I get its to improve the length and girth of my manhood. What price do you pay? Tesco are running a special offer of £1.50 until the 20th of this month. Do you wrap it around or eat it? If you are attempting to use it I strongly recommend removing any sharp ed...

Re: Women's In-Tournament Training

I think the work that Sabrina and Jovanka are doing is extremely good. I would guess that we lose more female players than male players as they become adults and the more women we can encourage to continue playing chess can only be a good thing. Alex rightfully points out that sometimes things don't...

Re: Unanswered letter

I've just read 6 pages of this 'debate'. What's stood out is that the 2 people who are shouting the loudest for change and support for juniors, Carol and Krishna have both attacked 2 of the youngest posters for disagreeing with their viewpoints. When I read the original post I felt Peter Purland sh...

Re: Fake Facebook and MSN profiles?

I think what is most important here is that we stop encouraging this type of activity,(although I appreciate by making this post I am doing the opposite) it has absolutely nothing to do with chess and in posting it on the ECF Forum only encourages those creating it to continue. If John and Andrew ha...
