Firstly, the subjects under discussion are not limited to those subjects which you wish to be under discussion. Secondly, my points are the ones I made - and not completely different points which I have not made but which you may prefer me to have made.

OK, I have it here, but I am afraid there isn't very much: half a sentence. It's on page 251 of the New In Chess edition of 2006:
I once had the greatest trouble myself making a draw against Wade when he was playing thirty at the same time in The Hague
and unless I mistake myself, that's it.

I'm not sure how Gerry Walsh complaining or otherwise would have made one jot of difference to the changes in the Grand Prix schedule, and I am also unsure that sudden changes to world championship arrangements are entirely new to the gentleman from Leigh. A refusal (or perhaps an inability) to comm...

I think the implication is that your objection to the gentleman's style is based on prudishness rather than, say, finding an absuive and bullying style unnecessary and distasteful.

Y'know, I reckon there must be better people than Gerry Walsh to do the job - but he is, at least, not as monumentally and aggressively unpleasant as Nigel Short.
