Re: Annual General Meeting 2013

So why not include an under 18 in the women's team and ask the Trust for the £4k? Maybe twisting the rules but not sending a team just doesn't seem right to me, especially for as little as £4k, when I guess the Open team has appearance fees. If there is a shortfall of £4,000 why can’t the play...

Re: European Championship - Team ENGLAND

meanwhile the womens' team is still being written on the backs of various envelopes, following the refusal to pay for a coach for them? :( Some things never change. The BCF sent a team of two to the Ladies Olympiad at Lublin in 1969. The team was Dinah Dobson on board one and Rowena Bruce on board ...

Re: ENGLISH SENIORS CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP

Thanks everyone for the information.

2009 Richard A. Beach

2010 Oliver Jackson and Norman Hutchinson.

Perhaps we can persuade the ECF to include a list of English Seniors Champions in the yearbook.

FIDE changes to SENIORS CHESS

The changes to Seniors Chess being introduced by FIDE in July 2014 Present the British Chess Championships with a problem. Re: 2014 EUROPEAN SENIORS CHESS CHAMPIONSHIP

With the discussion on another thread about a British Seniors Championship for 50-65 age group, more and more players will simply skip adulthood altogether and go straight from junior to senior, especially those who take a 'career break' from chess for a number of years. When I first started playing county chess, fifty board...
