Re: Repercussions / Fallout from FIDE Elections?

If Mr. Dvorkovic is categorised as a PEP (Politically Exposed Person) for financial regulation purposes, then his international travels could be limited e.g. will he be given a visa to attend the World Chess Championships in London? It's not difficult to check, and yes Arkady Dvorkovich is a PEP bu...

Ah, I get what you mean now. I'll leave you to do a relative comparison over the last 30+ years. Data from Olimpbase . In Olympiads at least, the period from 2004 to 2014 was dire in terms of finishing positions. Which begs the question of what changed, what is going right and what can be...

Re: Batumi Olympiad

I'm expecting a just above par performance from England. John Nunn as captain is a big boost. I think Nick Pert & Mickey will be solid, Gawain and especially David will perform well. Luke unpredictable. 2 strong dark horses are Poland and Iran. My prediction to win - China. I thank you 8) Ok, someo...

Duda has played Karjakin, MVL, Ivanchuk, Shak, Aronian, Caruana, Ding & Vishy in successive rounds; he's earned a rest
His own private super-GM training tournament! :D
