Legal options could be: breach of contract, Fraud by Misrepresentation etc Certainly the player who was denied the gradng prize could possibly recoup the prize money.

yeah there seems to be a check on e5 followed by taking on d6. Maybe both sides missed that the intermezo of Nd6 wasn't as storng as it initially looks. So Nigel should just accept he's lost a pawn, but the minor piece ending looks drawn because of the Biship's pressure on h6.

It seems to me that Nxd4, whilst a good tactical idea, fails to Nd6-which attacks the rook and guards the c4 square. White can then take the Knight next move.

Andrew Martin does an excellent job with the commentary, he'd be good on the mastergame should it ever get back on our TV screens. Chris Ward is also good, but I see no reason to change the commentary- if it's not broken don't try to fix it! Good changes to our already excellent British Championshi...
