Re: British 2015 Round by Round

Most impressive start by Alex G.
I'll not worry about pairings - always seem to favour highest rather than lowest rating.

The arbiter/controller/pairer is always right.
As an ex-rugby player you went back 10y/m if open mouth. Even In footie get a yellow for a query.

Re: Richmond Rapidplays

Paul - I suggest you use private to those that organise or used to in this area. Wishing you well - best to arrange with no clashes with others local. I think you will find the main difference between when w/e tournies started to now is more w/e junior chess. Seems ironic bearing in mind how success...

Re: National Club Championships 11-12 April 2015

I was looking at playing this w/e. My clubs were unable to get a team out. Unable to join a new one with mates. Calling it a national team championship may get more interest. Be nice for ECF to offer something for its members - as well as thank those sponsors/supporters as on these postings. But yes...

Re: Representation on Council and Funding the ECF

Re: Rules query - starting clock without moving

If the club is unable to supply sufficient clocks for a match, the match captain shall notify the opposition so that they may provide the balance necessary. The time limits for play are set out in Rul...
