Re: What are the safeguards ?

On safeguards I'm concerned on date of birth is identity theft so I'm going after anyone that discloses that when I have indicated not. Images - announcement before. I made to clubs also. So if you have any links going through sites such as facebook etc I'll be coming after those for damages that I ...

Re: 2019 new ECF junior selection policy

When travelling together & arguably coming out of ECF is there any reason why it should not be by coach & boat? On general junior ECF we also had queries on junior ECF Jan list in County championship at U160 level. From what I saw we had 3 juniors in total but many players over 60 a few in between t...

Re: Chess & Bridge Withdraw Ray Keene's Book from Sale

Chess & Bridge have plenty of other Keene books on sale. Also second hand too. Though I think I will wait until they go for 1 pound or a ten bob note. I cannot see that Westminster library service have bothered to buy a copy. Nor Kingston either. Other sellers may have it if you want to buy. I canno...

Re: ECF Supporter

it's bad enough we cannot gift aid current fees etc. Shame but has anyone taken this on board. Or being both. Something we could do in part for a FA in a Christian Football League. We also gave away 10 percent of each year to charitable purposes. We also continued to do some of that for a few years ...

Re: County Chess 2018-19

There is a complete difference on defaults on six board matches in 4NCL to the defaults on 16 or 12 board County Chess. But I suspect you have not played County Chess for a while.

Re: County Chess 2018-19

How many teams actually played last weekend?
How many teams will play the next weekend with it being further away.
Notionally up but actually?
The point is many players play both competitions.

Re: County Chess 2018-19

Julie Sussex & I talking at last 4NCL weekend about only one team in the Open & nothing for players in other sections. Looking at their scores so far is it possible that they will enter Minor Counties at National Stages with average below 180? To give them a chance to play County Chess this season. ...

Re: How Many Times ?

In terms of the original post. Lets see if they will be playing in round five. I think it was difficult for the Barnet Knights at the time. It also was next to the band so the noise was not coming from the players. Only 8 boards I think needed to be moved to another room. Your subsequent post I knew...

Re: Incremental controls - the `unlimited` game.

It is good to consult but plenty of issues to consider - like losing players, captains, teams & clubs. Ok for evenings. Captains set up at for a 6pm start 10.30 put away. The bell in the pub rings at 11. Impractical. Forget about the 2 hour plus journey times. Using 10 secs in County at the moment. ...

Re: Steve Berry

I'm sure our club mates will not mind me posting these details. Stephen's funeral will be 10am on Friday 25th January, Putney Vale Crematorium with remembrance drinks/snacks afterwards at the Crooked Billet pub just off Wimbledon Common between 11am and 2pm (snacks from midday). John and I will be a...

Re: How Many Times ?

Perhaps they knew how noisy it was going to be in that small room? 12 boards but 4 empty. The arbiters did well to relocate us once some other boards had finished. It was nice to eat lunch & have a coffee. As it was a junior team I'm not sure how the manager did not inform the control team. Isn't it...

Re: Chess & Bridge Withdraw Ray Keene's Book from Sale

Maybe because someone wants more money? I think it is buyer beware on chess books. They can run their business as they like. At the last weekend it was very difficult having the bookstall right outside a playing area.

Re: Div 4 South 2018/19

In round 1 the triangle was Camb Uni 3 v West is Best 4 v CSC 3. Some defaults so Camb Uni were not playing round 2 I was not aware of the round 2 triangle. Anyway if another team pull out or come in by Friday night then there ought to be a change. It makes a world of difference if they turn out or ...
