Thank you, but it doesn't answer the question. Theres a hyperlink on this page,
http://www.englishchess.org.uk/ecf-grading-system/
to what used to be (I think) the page that did answer my question.
But it's a dead link.

Calculating an ECF grade.
I know the basics, 40 point difference, +50, -50 and opponents score etc. But I'm a bit confused about the countbacks, especially now the lists are six monthly. I'm sure there used to be a page with this info on the ECF website, but it seems to have disappeared. I assume, if you've played enough gam...

Re: Fritz doing my head in again.
Yes. It means I have to remember how to set things like tendency to resign or draw again if I want to practice endgames too. It's as if whatever file it stores its "memory" in has been deleted or corrupted. It's not an isolated occurance, this has happened to me five or six times and is very annoyin...

Fritz doing my head in again.
For some reason fritz asked me for my serial number again when I loaded it up. I used the same one I originally used and it allowed me in. But it has reset all my shortcuts, the pieces I'd chosen etc, and reset my record vs fritz in rated games back to zero. It also forgot which bases it had opened ...

Re: SAITEK CLOCK WARNING
I'm pretty certain the saitek clocks are all discontinued. So I should imagine "updating the firmwear" proved too difficult.

Re: British Championship 2014 Schedule
Is there a website with the results? I've had a quick look and can't see any yet on the ECF website (aside from game of the day).
I would like them for grading purposes.

Re: World Cup Betting
You're probably correct Ian. It is a mugs game, but there is not much interest in the the finals of major tournaments when you're Welsh unless you have a bet. Plus, Coral gave me £20 by offering me 2/1 on Brazil to wear yellow for opening an account on their website. I'm still spending that. Once it...

Re: World Cup Betting
Thanks Rob. I'm gonna give it until after the Iran Nigeria game and then I'm going to collate the results (I'm getting input from other places too). I want to give people who've contributed a chance to get on the tips if they want to, and I may not get a chance with work tomorrow. So if anybody else...
