Hi,

I am looking for a database, I have never really done much chess work before so don't know which is better. I used Chessbase a little bit a few years ago to look at some games at a tournament. I am mainly looking at the cheaper form(CA) at the moment. Anyone know the main differences?

Right. Firstly, We use to have multiple teams and in fact dabbled with the multiple squads idea but you have the practical issues there. It is interesting and quite sad that the longest discussion of any 4NCL "team" has been a 'problem' with the most successful team in it's history.

I agree with Jonathan. From my teams prospective we do not mind being on live boards this weekend if the league feel there is a more important match. We wanted to have BCM because they are a rival to our team due to the fact they are largely Berkshire/Surrey based.

I mean this in the nicest way as I have a great respect for what the arbiters do for British chess and this seems like a good proactive thing.

But was this the most sensible thing to schedule at a 4NCL weekend given the previous problems with room bookings at this hotel.
