Still on the subject of James Pratt's "review":
The Paulsen book weighs 1.3 kilos, and not "about 5 kilos." It was published in Spring 2019, and not on "30 Nov. 2018." It has 441 pages, and not "274."

Re: A "book review" by James Pratt
Roger Lancaster's strange post seems to be based on a simple misreading of my post.
Hans Renette's book is excellent.

A "book review" by James Pratt
Here is a passage from page 123 of Hans Renette's McFarland book on Louis Paulsen: macdonnell1.jpg That is fine, but this is what appears in a "book review" by James Pratt (https://britishchessnews.com/2019/10/23/book-review-louis-paulsen-a-chess-biography-with-719-games-hans-renette): macdonnell2.j...

Re: Chess & Bridge Withdraw Ray Keene's Book from Sale
One small example here of how Jimmy Adams operates. My 5 December 2018 article (https://www.patreon.com/posts/meal-ticket-23138934) about the Keene/Jacobs book on the Carlsen-Caruana match took a grand total of four words to point out the book's misspelling "Kieseritsky" instead of Kieseritzky. Jimm...

The "Chronology" section (pages 18-29) of the second edition (2017) of Raymond Keene's book on Tony Buzan includes these claims about rowing: "1988: Member of coaching team for the Great Britain Olympic Rowing squad, Korean Olympics." "1990 and ongoing: Mental Toughness coach, Marlow Rowing Club, on...
