Why don't you look up the answers to your questions rather than have others do the work for you?

Re: World championship match in Astana
How am I expected to teach good chess to novices, when some idiot plays 1. d4 Nf6 2. c4 e6 3. Nf3 d5 4. h3 in a world championship match? And when another idiot ( Vishy Anand no less ) says in the commentary that it is an interesting idea which set his opponent some tricky problems over the board a...

Re: World championship match in Astana
I see that Vishy is commentating so we can't complain about any lack of chess knowledge there. (and subsequent posts referencing Vishy.) Can I ask: where was he commentating - I looked but couldn't find? Could a link be provided? Either on the FIDE Twitch or youtube channel. https://www.twitch.tv/c...

Re: World championship match in Astana
Well, I'm interested - as I would be in a match between the current 2nd- and 3rd-rated players in the world, the more so as it's for the world championship, both players play attacking chess and as I think the commentary is likely to be interesting.

Re: Carlsen resigns on move 2
Is the 6 weeks from the (24 Feb) publication date of the statement? If yes, then I make it there's a couple more days to go (until Friday 7 April). (Am eagerly awaiting the outcome.)

Re: The Garry Linekar Affair
That would be a debate worthy of its own topic, but the point I was trying to make is that I am still willing to hear opposite views to my own and despise the growing mentality of attempting to crush all dissenting voices so by extension support his right to say such things as an individual. I unde...

Re: The Garry Linekar Affair
So, with all the furore going on about Garry Linekar right now I'm sure somebody or other must have opinions. I personally don't agree with his viewpoint, or care enough about match of the day that I would miss him, but he still should be entitled to air it outside of work and not treated as though...
