Had you posted a nony mousely then we wouldn't know to believe you!

Had Robert Mugabe posted the same comment, we would be less sure.

London Rapid Play Tourneys??

Any one know much about

http://www.londonrapidplay.co.uk/ ??

The web site is mostly links to non-existent pages.

Do these events take place and if so when are the future ones?

Someone asked me about Rapid Plays in the Heathrow area : are these one and the same?

Thanks!

Re: Trying to kill the forum

I have suggested email shotting the direct members to encourage them to use the forum. Right now I'm working on a chess club finder using the Google Maps API. At some point I will need to suck a postcode for each club into the database. I wonder if I can extract this from some other database? You ca...

Re: Real Names

Have you noticed the FIDE Forum has totally vanished again. No reason has been given. Stewart Reuben Stewart, I notice that you are now posting again on the FIDE forum for the first time since Wed Apr 16, 2008 8:18 pm I'd like to thank myself (at least since nobody else has) for pointing you in the...

Re: Trying to kill the forum

It might be useful to note that FIDE refer to their forum as Forum of World Chess federation Public forum of World Chess Federation rather than Official forum of FIDE maybe we could use this label? I read that SR would have us contact an ECF official to seek their opinion one by one. I don't have th...

Re: Real Names

I much prefer to see real names being used even if that isn't the name of the poster. Too many fora suffer from illiterate idiots (e.g. Rexel's Brother on the Atticus forum) posting junk that devalues the discussion. I did suggest to CM that CH implement an ECF members only section not visible by th...

Re: Look, Feel & Name Change

Carl, when searching the net for the ECF Forum it still says that it's the official English Chess Federation Forum. I don't know how you can change that but it might have to be something for you to look in to. It will probably update within 4-6 weeks following a revisit from various spiders and bot...

Players with standard play ratings of zero or less??

Perusing the list of players (including inactive ones registered with, for example, the Coulsdon Chess Fellowship (amongst others) prompted a question : How many players (inactive or otherwise) are injected into the ECF rating database who have a standard play rating of zero or less? I understand th...
