In reality 'unequal times' games are graded all the time. Any substitution in 4NCL is meant to be with AT LEAST 30 mins less than the original time (although I know that in one case one of our players asked just to start normally as the opposition knew they needed to sub before the match started). You meed to keep the bishop in touch with h2 to draw ... I never really understood how you win if your h-pawn hasn't crossed the middle of the board (while remembering reading it in DEM). There's a less well-known draw with an f-pawn too ...

Yep Rg7 and Nf5# is a nasty trick to run into ... as others have said seemed to be nicely holding a small edge, can never lose kind of position ...

Again as others have said - for some reason very easy to relate to ...

1. e4 e5 2. Nc3 Nc6 3. Bc4 Bc5 4. Qg4 Qf6 5. Nd5 Qxf2 6. Kd1 Kf8 7. Nh3 h5 It's an alternative to watching the paint dry in the London or the Colle, but less practical as a line for all seasons. I am reliably infirmed that this appeared on board1 in round 5 of the Scarbotrough Open last weekend!

I know someone that was offered a single earlier in the week - maybe they'd had a cancellation. I know we have people in other palces as it was full when they booked
