Finally I have opened a new topic for the Top Division. There are a couple of threads such as "So starts the 31st season" and "Dates and Venues" but these seem to be general topics - consequently here is a discrete section to discuss Division One.

I played through this "game" - did any position repeat three times? I completely lost track of where the pieces had shuffled to.

This is by far the worst example I've ever seen, in the past I did wonder if it was both players simply refusing to draw but at this stage it seems clear cut who the perpetrator is. I really don't get what point lalic is trying to make, is it some sort of weird protest against increments, is it to try and set some pointless record of the most moves ever played in a game, trying to hold his opponent hostage in the hope that they literally die on the board or is it simply belligerently wasting everybody's time just because he can?

They could have done with a few more today - experts. Manx have played 16 games so far with no losses recorded

What was the point of that? The WIM was never going to collapse and lose. And it was only 181 moves.

.....but I couldn't use the ex Perts line with Wood Green. Incidentally I have a + record against the Wood Green team (P3 W1 D2 L0) - unfortunately I am unavailable.
