Further to Lawrence's report on Division Three North, late entries are being accepted into the other two divisions. An e-mail from Mike Truran states:-

Just to let you know that we’re happy to receive entries from any teams wanting to join 4NCL Division 3 South and Division 3 Central for weekend 2 and subsequent weekends. We’re reducing the entry fee from £60 to £50 for new teams, and are also giving new teams the option of starting on 0 match points (if they want to meet weaker opposition during the second weekend), 2 match points (if they feel their playing strength merits meeting stronger opposition) or 1 match point if they don’t express a preference.

Guaranteed Events/Bridge Overseas have confirmed that, like in November, the hotel restaurant will be closed on Saturday night but food will be available from the bar.

Throw in the Tal appear to have taken their title literally and do not appear in Week 3. Deaf England have replaced them in the dreaded three team pairing at the bottom.

31 West is Best 2 - - - Rhyfelwyr Essyllwg
32 Wood Green Monarchs - - - West is Best 3
33 The Rookies - - - The Full Ponty
34 Oxford 2 - - - Ashfield 1
35 Warwickshire Select 2 - - - Shropshire and Friends 1
36 Oxford 3 - - - Ashfield 2
60 Deaf England - - - Shropshire and Friends 2
61 Shropshire and Friends 2 - - - Oxford 4
62 Oxford 4 - - - Deaf England

Someone else is taking a bye, as Deaf England are a new team.

As above - Throw in the Tal. As their opening two rounds were both 6-0 defeats possibly they have withdrawn?

According to the latest Division 3 Central table, 2 teams had byes in Round 3, and scored 1 match point.
Does anyone know how this happened?

Thank you, David. I remember now.

I notice that the Div 3 Central table gives 2 teams a bye in Round 3 but nothing in Round 4.

It was one match point for a missed weekend rather than one per match.

The arbiters are to be congratulated on arranging the fire alarm before play started!

It was announced at start of play that the postponed week would not be rearranged, so only 9 rounds will be played in total.

No such announcement in Div 3 South, which I guess means they are still trying to find a venue?

*Edit* It appears I missed the announcement that a 5th weekend now appears unlikely
