Hi, are there any 4ncl teams in Yorkshire who are taking on new players? I'm approximately 1750 ECF and FIDE and I'm looking to start playing OTB chess again, after a break.

It's worth trying White Rose. They have three teams and have had their struggles with player availability this season. Their third team is in Division Three.

I think there are only two squads which are Yorkshire based. White Rose has already been mentioned, the other is Hull & East Riding. The 4NCL doesn't have any geographic eligibility rules, so a willing player can join any squad with vacancies.

Now that the 4NCL division 3 North no longer exists, all venues this season are more or less in the Midlands, namely Telford, Warwick, Daventry and Milton Keynes.

Ah okay, I didn't realise the 4ncl north no longer existed. That's a shame.
