As customary, I have started (or will be starting) new threads for each of the Divisions to prevent a mish-mash of postings in the generic thread. Division Four starts this weekend.

Anyway Division Four looked to have been starting with an even number of teams but the permanent withdrawal of Woody's Woodpushers for the season has meant a dreaded triangular match. It would be nice to recruit a further team to fill the void but the rule that a team can withdraw from a weekend if due notice is given could still leave an odd number. In 2024-25 four teams took advantage of this to sit-out weekends.

I'm pleased to report that Oxford 3 will be participating in Division 4. This despite the loss of our amazing captain, Tim Dickinson.

3Cs are seeded fifth, athough seedings may not matter much once rounds have been completed if they sail through with a 100% record,

The late withdrawal of Cambridge University 2 has meant that a re-pairing had to take place getting rid of the three way match.

War & Piece B now face Ashfield 2, one of the teams in the triangular match, instead of Cambridge Univ 2.

A short update after the opening weekend. Five teams have maximum points whilst seven are yet to get off the mark. Roger has rightly pointed out the strength of 3Cs; however there are plenty of stumbling blocks to stop an 100% score. War & Piece "A" didn't take up their promotion place from 2024/'5 whilst Irish team TMNT also look very strong. I am not sure what TMNT stands for - though Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles looks unlikely. Bearing in mind that Division Two team "ToBeDecided" still don't seem to have a proper name we may have a long wait.

Congratulations to 3Cs, not quite a 100% record but comfortable nonetheless
