Virus on 4NCL Website?

Post by Phil Neatherway » Mon Nov 19, 2007 4:30 pm

I accessed the 4NCL website this morning, and later on my Anti-Virus software (Sophos) reported a virus W32/Feebs-Fam was present on my PC. It was located in a TIF or Cookie with 4ncl.co in the name.

I hesitate to try and contact the 4NCL Webmaster through their website in case I get the virus again! Hopefully he/she will see this post or someone will tell them.

Hi Phil,

It's Peter Sowray here - 4NCL webmaster. I'm sorry to hear about the problem.

I've tried, but I can't re-produce the problem and I haven't heard any other reports. I've asked the company that hosts the site to investigate. If I get anything useful back I will post it here.

If you need to contact me offline, my email address is [email protected]

Best regards,

Peter

It seems unlikely to be honest - what other sites have you visited?

it was definitely the 4ncl website as my PC ground to a halt as soon as I clicked on the link.
