For those who deal with such things... please note that on the 4NCL website, both the Championship and Demotion results for Division 2 actually show the pairings for the Championship pool of Division 1. The pairings for Round 8 of Division 2 have so far never actually been put onto the website - can anybody assist ?

They can hire the room out to someone else, of course, but if this happens then they cannot keep the charge made to the other party (I suspect that this was really your question). Indeed, like any contracting party in a dispute, they must try to mitigate their loss, and so they must try to hire out the room to another, and should only seek to charge the original party where they have been unsuccessful. (So anyone cancelling a room, and fearing a charge, should always insist that no money is taken from their card until after the weekend).

If x rooms are cancelled and y rooms are rehired where y is less than x, how do they decided who to charge for the cancelled rooms?
