Sunday is going to be a bit huge :) Bradford B fairly big favourites for the pool D.

Yes, depends what players the teams can get out

I can swing past the Airport on my way down to Crewe tomorrow to pick up the incoming GMs

Alba up to 10 points and effectively up

Bradford A on 8 v MM1 on 6 tomorrow

SoA B & Broadland Bitterns on 5 are still outside bets for the second spot, though Broadland play Alba and then MM1 so a tough ask

Must win for MM I guess. The game points will be very hard to overcome if there's a draw. I've got (ex) team mates in both teams so had better stay neutral :)

Curious business with the website/3ND - they've got the games up (frankly incredibly efficient!), but not the teams/results. Looks like Bradford B and Jorvik won, doesn't have all the results for the other matches yet. Mildly dizzying for Jorvik this compared to the rest of the season.

Hi Martin,

Results and tables for D are up and should have been from about 8pm - before C as it was still in progress when they were posted. Maybe you need to refresh.

Not all of the games are up - just most off them!

Very odd - it was just 3ND that I wasn't seeing so I didn't think to try clearing my cache. That did it though :) Very efficient of you all this.

Not that it matters one bit but DCA B (the strongest team by some distance this weekend) seem to have it essentially sewn up now. Manticores 3 doing surprisingly well!

No surprise to me, we have a strong squad - good to see our new recruit from the Cumbria U160 team on bottom board - makes the friendly we played a couple of months ago worthwhile :D

3 North pool D

1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 GP Pts
1 Bradford DCA Knights B 3-3 6-0 4-2 4-2 4-2 21 9

8 Cheddleton 3 2-4 1½-4½ 2½-3½ 1-5 -1-6 6 0

Top 2 meet today, should be good

Yes, I would say so - Mark had predicted that Cheddleton 2 yesterday (playing almost "at home") would be tough, and it was always likely that MM1 would need to beat Bradford A today

Congratulations to Bradford A on their promotion, although it wasn't great to watch from the Manticores viewpoint, as on another day we might have won

No excuses (not even the hotel problems) though, over 11 matches you finish where you deserve, and Bradford were the better team

I wish them and Alba good luck in Div 2 next season

Gruesome in places even, although Jorvik topped it - losing a match where you're given two free pieces takes some effort!

Bradford did deserve it though. I think MM had the stronger top six but if you can't get a squad to really focus on such a big match then..... They will need a bit extra for division 2 but they got that last time round :)

Always next season for manticores - could be quite soft even if no extra teams.

Tremendous result for Bradford A that given they had their top two players missing! Jorvik clearly took pity on Ched 3 :)

We (Bradford) got so close! We would have won the title had we managed to squeeze out a 4.5-1.5 win, the first three tie-breakers being equal would have led to the title being decided on the head-to-head match.

I'm still delighted at how the weekend went for all three Bradford teams with 8 wins out of 9.

Congratulations to Alba for being deserved winners, all credit to them for consistently bringing strong teams and not taking anybody lightly - I'm sure they'll be a force in Division 2 next year!

Well done Andy & the squad

Are you going to enter B & C in Div 3N next season?
