A further topic to finish the 4NCL threads for 2016-17. Incidentally why is this Division Four South - as there's just one Fourth Division?

To indicate that it's part of the South section of the pyramid, and that its promotion route runs through Division 3 South and not Division 3 North.

Though teams from Division Four (South) could, if they wished, enter Division Three (North) as Broadlands did last year.

In the very early days of the football league they had Third & Fourth divisions South & North.

Anyway I expect CSC to bounce back up again.

Best wishes to Robert Willmoth & Barnet Knights & the rest of the teams.

Neil - it will be good to see you again wherever you are playing.

Barnet Knights 4 now have the dubious distinction of defaulting/failing to raise a team for 13 successive matches. Perhaps someone might suggest that their entry was - how shall we put it - over optimistic?

They are still in the draw for Sunday though, albeit no longer against my MM2 team.

I'd assumed that not turning up for their 12 previous games they were missing Sunday as well. :)

CSC Rhinos off to a flyer 3-0 up before start of play.
Enjoy the rugby, Chelsea game then the World Chess Championship match.

Oxford 2 look strong.

I think you were probably 3 - (-1.5) up, so you already had the match win in the bag.

The only thing missing on 4NCL last w/e was any live boards.

Shame about Ben's team with 3 missing. They were a very nice tight bunch when I last played them.
Excellent that Barnet Knights got a full team out on the Sunday.

As for me was unwell through Chelsea game so left pub after 35 minutes to get nurofen, light eats & went to sleep early but got up to see Motd early.

Watching the scores coming in a bit like teletext but well done to the team.

Hoping to be Ok enough for CSC Hippos 14/15 Jan. Lets see if any freezing overnight makes it impossible to get to work tomorrow (or play chess on Wednesday & catch up with Oxford 2's board 1).
