As Christmas approaches, I have a single room going in Telford for the first weekend if anyone wants it. Msg me directly- first come first served.

Division Two, eh? Well, I must confess to having no idea who will finish second, third or fourth.
First, on the other hand ...

That probably rather depends on whether Manx are as serious as their registration list looks..... Comfortably the second strongest in the whole competition.

Our Manticores 1st team finished above Manx last season; I'd be delighted (and surprised) if they did so again this seasonJonathan Rogers wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2017 8:24 amDivision Two, eh? Well, I must confess to having no idea who will finish second, third or fourth.

It might raise a few questions if Manx don't turn up fully loaded at least some of the time

As their first round opponents I've been advised to expect a "competitive team" whilst "It is highly likely that board 1 will be covered by a grandmaster and highly likely that this is not the case for board 8."David Robertson wrote: ↑Wed Nov 08, 2017 11:56 amIt might raise a few questions if Manx don't turn up fully loaded at least some of the time

Re: Division Two 2017-18
Last season against them with Jorvik we went 3-3 with neither boards 1-3, or 4-6 being terribly close.....
I doubt if they'll leave all of 5-8 'open' like that in Div2 but even 7/8 would give people something to hope for.

Super-diligent Rhys Cumming not only plays for Sussex Martlets, but then returns home and knocks out a lengthy round-up report. It covers Div 1 & Div 2, but I've placed it here because it's where Rhys is playing this year. As he points out, Div 2 is already living up to its reputation as the tightest of all the divisions

Karma! WR1 managed to down their second team too.
White Rose 2 really do seem to be treating the lack of teams returning to Div3N as a major problem to solve

Manx, NE England and Celtic Tigers promoted; Wood Green Monarchs likely to join them
