Rather than mandate playing in the north (winter is coming), why not incentivise it by inreasing the prize money at the expense of Div 3 South? Positive discrimination innit..

I wonder who's behind that Bolton & Worsley team? Could easily be OK, probably not likely to be too strong.

At least with the low number of teams those getting promoted will be the best in 3N.

Enjoy whether it snows or not.

Id imagine it's Nigel Short, David Norwood, Jeff Horner, Mike Surtees, Harry Lamb and some Worsley player

You forgot McPhillips :) I'm not daft enough to quibble their historical strength!

Bolton are much weaker in the Manchester league these days, and a few of their stronger players are committed elsewhere. More teams very welcome though.
(Thanks to Mick for the answer.).

Another Stockport League or Cheshire based team or another Merseyside team would not go amiss either.
A speedy return from Notts would also be welcome I think. Maybe a season battling with the Div 4 lot might sober them up a bit.
Meanwhile , can I also call on the North East to come forth with another side....it might mean a new venue in that area to balance the travel matters.
I liked the Darlington venue, near Bishop Auckland.

Nottingham-Bolton - Travel time 2hr 08 minutes; 116 miles
Nottingham-Daventry - Travel time 1hr 08 minutes; 54 miles.

At least White Rose 2 coming down gives us one (very) credible promotion candidate :) Enough teams that would do OK as a second.
Now we have seen the squads, will be interesting to see how strong Manx 2 will be

Well I guess if they want to get a second team promoted, they'll do it.......
